How to break in new Peshawari chappals
New leather is firm. Wear the pair at home for an hour or two a day for the first few days before a long outing, so the straps soften and shape to your foot. Set the heel buckle so your foot is held without pinching. If a strap rubs, a little leather conditioner on the inside helps it soften faster. Never soak new chappals in water to stretch them, as it can crack the leather and loosen the stitching.
